Funky Brakes 200

Hey all,

Recently I started to hear a squeal from my brakes. This isn't a metal on metal, pads need replacing squeal, but more of a squeal you hear from a bus or large truck pulling up to the line at a stop light. Yesterday, the pedal lost a good deal of resistance, resulting in excessive pedal travel, but I could still stop the car. Today the problem has gone away, but I randomly hear this squeal.

I replaced the master cylinder about 4 months ago. Could I not have bled the lines thoroughly and have air in there? Are these symptoms of air in the lines?

Thanks in advance for any advice.
