Rear Wiper Woes... 200

Last May, the rear wiper on my wagon stopped working, figured it was shorting out somewhere (my tailgate locks by itself sometimes, so there is a short). A couple days ago, I started her up and the wiper started running. The off mode, as well as the intermittent mode on the switch was inop, I couldn't turn it off!I popped the interior trim panel and disconnected the power source so my backlite wouldn't get scratched-up.

Is the rear wiper switch bad or what? Thanks in advance...
