940 Headlights Go Out 900 1991

I have a 940 SE Turbo Wagon. When I switch the headlights from the high beams to low beams the lights go out. This does not happen all the time though. I can get the high beams to come back on if i mess around with the stalk (switch) for a couple of second. Also, it seems if I turn the fog light on and off a couple of times the low beams will come back. Any ideas as to what is going on. Thanks.
