89 240 problems - (2) Related? 200

My 89 240 wagon has been acting strange of late - after stalling and not re-starting in October, my Volvo specialist mechanic replaced the o2 sensor & ignition sensor. Fine, until a couple of weeks ago, when the car would stall, but restart, stall restart in a few minutes, etc. (check engine light now on) I've moved about 250 miles from my previous mechanic; new guy codes mass air flow sensor but nothing wrong w/ it, traces problem to a bad ground to in harness, telling main computer to shut down the injectors. Cleaned it up, no problemo driving 25 miles home, nor any problems on a short trip the next day - BUT - (theres always a but) NOW the car starts and runs fine for about 45 seconds to a minute, shuts down, won't re-start 'til the next day, when it starts, runs fine for 45 seconds, etc. The red "battery" icon is lit now as well. Did my alternator decide to crap out right after the other repair, or should I be looking at the computer itself (or maybe the wiring again? Any thoughts, anyone?
