Hard start/lack of power 700

Hi Guys:
The last couple of days with temps around 5/10 degrees F at 6 AM
my 87 740 GLE(340K miles) it has been a real pain to start . I have to crank and crank for a good 5/7 min before it starts going. I have used gas line antifreeze and did not help much. However during the day it starts fine, even after sitting outside for 5/6 hours. It's just overnight when temps drop below 25/30... otherwise it also starts with the first crank!
This morning it was one of those bad mornings. But I started it. It idled fine for 10 min and I took off. While I drove thru the local streets I didn't notice
anything out of ordinary. However as I got to the open road I noticed the car
did not have enough power to pass 30mph or even to shift gears. I noticed the symptoms a few days ago,but as I drove for 1 mile or so full power kicked in!
Today none of that happened and I had to return home...Car was tuned up about 1 month ago.
Any suggetions on the hard start and lack of power?
Tku all
