locking differential S90-V90

"I never liked this system, the initial slip before locking was irritating." Maybe, but far less irritating than that constant slip of a tractionless rear wheel without LSD.

Most, if not all early model years came with the LSD I believe, but soon became an option with the 'winter package' My 92 had it, my 97 does not.

The easiest way that I know of is to either take your VIN to the dealer or call Customer service at Volvo of America and ask them to look it up. They can tell youe exactly what the car rolled off the line with...
