Rear Hatch Problems 200 1992

I have a 1992 240 wagon. The wagon is taking a beating (very cold, snowy) here in northern Nevada with a few problems that have come up lately.

1. The hatch will not stay up now. This just started within the past week. Do I need to replace the supports and if so, how difficult is that?

2. When it's cold in the morning and the car is running while I warm it up, if I open the rear hatch, the brake light (the one in the middle of the lower window in rear hatch) will come on. It will turn back off after I close the hatch. This only seems to occur first thing in the morning while it's still cold.

3. Rear wiper isn't working much/at all now.

Thanks in advance for any help!
