Hi- my 1978 240 was running great, then out of nowhere starting running erratically. The motor will "lope" or surge, seems like the manifold coughs. I'm thinking maybe the coil went out? Maybe the distributor cap cracked? I have somewhat ruled out a fuel problem after replacing relays and listening and checking the in-tank and main pumps. I replaced the fuel filter also. Thanks, Jeff
