Overdrive issues - 87 240/AT

So, I replaced the relay... (with one from the local pick-n-pull, wanted to go down anyway, picked up a glove box and some caps for my wheels, (and they didn't charge me for the relay! :-) ) With the relay not clicking, seemed like a likly culprit. Might still be the relay, but....

So now I am going to start checking wires.. You mention the wire from the pushbutton. Where would the wire be frayed? By the button or somehwere else? How do I get there... Think it'll be frayed by the button or down by the floor/hump?
