Hope this isn't the beginning of a 'death' rattle! 900 1993

This will sound crazy to you but it happened to me a few years ago. Look down where the header pipe connects to the transmission. There is a bracket there that keeps the pipe stable. One of the clamps came off and landed between the two pipes and would rattle at different rpm`s. It drove me crazy for a couple of months until I saw what had happened and re-installed it. I have worked on cars, motorcycles and airplanes for a long time and it got by me I guess I was looking for something really big.

Good luck!

Lane
