Engine sputtering after fuel pump replacement part IV. The saga continues.

Well after replacing the fuel filter this weekend the main pump continues to protest. So far I have replaced the in tank pump, main pump, filter, FPR, resoldered the fuel pump relay and cleaned the grounds. The main pump continues to make a sound as if it is struggling for fuel. It is making is similar to a growling sound.
The give some background info I noticed a high pitch whine that I could not locate that turned into the aforementioned growl. I my way home the engine started sputtering as if it was starving for gas. This lead to the subsequent changing of parts to fix the running problems. Except for one stumble on the way in this morning it ran well but continues to make the same noise that lead to this.
