rough idle, then runs fine? 200

the other day i cranked up my volvo and to my dismay, it didnt crank, you have to gas it and play with the pedal in order for it to even idle, and then when you drive around the block, its a rough idle but it can manage on its own now, also the take off is very intermittent,a belt squeaks and then it takes off. All of this was very sudden and i am unsure of the problem
