Thanks for the reply. That's what I was thinking... and especially if you've got overload springs which should be worth the equivalent of a mm or 2 in added rear bar thickness. With those springs, it may make a 22mm bar behave like a 24 (and close to what you experienced), so I think that I might, in order to preserve understeer for my daughter's safety, possibly keep the original 18 mm bar and just add IPD's 25mm front one.
