This should help you:

1. Read the 700/900 FAQ on this site. Although different models, there is a lot that is applicable to your 240's breather box.

2. Once again, try using the search box at the lower right part of this page. Type in "breather box" and you'll pull up a ton of old posts regarding breather box removal. Maybe even a link or two...

3. If you can afford it, buy a Bentley manual for your year.
