760 coil testing 700 1984

Speaking of fuel pumps, the main pump on my '84 is "slightly" noisy. What happened was I replaced the rubber fuel line that connects the prepump to the pickup tube ( as it was torn up pretty badly and drawing air into the system, hence a really noisy main pump). My question is, should I still worry about my main pump ( because of the added stress of the air going into it)? I replaced it with an OE Bosch about 2 1/2 years ago, but just fixed the bad fuel line in the tank last week. With the line fixed, the main pump is much quieter, but I'd rather make sure it's OK since I'm on the road a lot.

Cheers,
Dave
