Thanks guys... 120-130 1968

Hey guys...

Thanks very much for your help and the kind words of encouragement. Duly noted regarding how to properly use the overdrive.

As for the carburetor, this setup is all new to me. My '67 has dual HS6's and I've gotten pretty accustomed to how to tune them. On this setup I am not sure which screws or nuts adjust what functions, so I'll have to do some more research on that.

I do agree that it could use a tuneup since it's been sitting for a while. One of the first things I was going to do was check the valve clearances since the engine sounds like they might be a little off.

One last question I have just for verification of my own research is which version of the B18 (B or D) came on the US version in 1968? From http://www.vlvworld.com/engspecs.html#b18 it looks like the only B18 engine that was available in '68 was the B. On the engine, itself, B18 is printed on the side, but are there any other markers on the engine that would specify which variety of B18? I know the VIN would be an indicator, but if another engine were dropped in it would be of little use, hehe.

Thanks!

- Dan
