I can't log in to the opinions site, and when posting, I can only log in when I post somethingt. the website or perhaps my computer won't let me log in using the "log in" function that is right next to the "sign up" function. something about cookies, but I just checked my settings and everything seems fine.

on an even more off topic issue, I was gonna post in the opinions about the erosion of the civility that I am so used to on this site, and in particular the 200-series site. I think it was maybe my "aftermarket" lens post, which someone twisted it to mean I was anti-american! that's crazy talk! grrrr, all I wanted was a brand that matched the cibie I have on my other corner! I don't care if the french make that product!
