New to 544 (Volvo in general),b long 444-544 1963

Hi all, well let me get to the point. A certain 544 came up in a conversation & I wound up going to look @ it. It's a '63 white in color & I, as a body repair tech, would say it's pretty rough although mostly all there. The owner is not yet willing to donate the beast to my good home, basing it on the brake job about 4 years old. The car has been sitting for at least the last 3 years, so long so that there's a 2" thick weed that has grown between the rear bumper & the car itself. So I need a Volvo-head opinion on possible value as it sits & maybe a $ figure for a car that's a 80-90%. I went through this with my BMW 2002 & wound up having way too much money tied up in it.
Moving on...
Questions for the conversion enlightened. (assuming I get the car)
1) what's the "hub to hub" measurement on the front suspension?
2) what is it on the rear?
3) would Volvites behead me for the engine, front subframe, rear end transplant? LOL BMW people would.
4) How's the sheet metal situation, has anyone had to put the repro patch panels in & how was the fit?
5) any of you in central MD?
That gets the firs round of interrogation out of the way
Thanks in advance
Levik.
