Rear Calipers

1991 240 DL: Needs rear calipers replaced. Left one is leaking fluid and have been told that the right one is almost as bad. The manual describes how to remove and then goes on about how to recondition. Guys at the shop would put on "manufacturers reconditioned" ($103+ labor). I don't see why I couldn't buy the same part and install it myself. Removal and reinstallation doesn't seem like it would be too hard as per manual. Is it?

Amatuer status and holding.
