Fuel injection woes. Mechanical or electrical? 200 1982

Volvo K-Jetronic: My 1982 has the LH-Jetronic EFI and it's not working too great. I have an extra K-Jetronic (mechanical fuel injection) intake and computer. Would these work better? My car stalls repeatedly in the mornings, hesitates on idle and the idle randomly surges from about 300-2100 RPM (I'm running on really good fuel too, so I have no idea why this happens). My timing is right, my injectors and seals are good, my idle is adjusted correctly and my computer is good. Would this be very hard to convert or is there some other problem that I am overlooking? Would it have any benefits? Even if it were not easy to convert, what would I have to do? (I like Mechanical fuel injection better anyway) Sorry there are so many questions. Please answer what you can.
Thanks,

Joe
