Non-Mechanical Advice 120-130

Hello All,

I've not lurked here in the BB for a while as I've been concentrating on my woodworking business. The 122 rests peacefully under a car cover.

One bit of advice I want to add has nothing to do with the mechanical consideration. 122 brake systems are not overly comlpicated so you can definitely diagnose once you are familiar.

What gives me the willies is you have stated that you are not too mechanically inclined. The Amazon's are great cars to become so but I would place your learning curve in the systems that aren't quite as critical as the brakes. It could make for a very bad day for you or someone unfortunate enough to be in your path if you don't get it right.

I would advise you to have an experienced person walk you through it first hand or have a mechanic do the job that is willing to explain the process afterwards. There are a lot of things you can get wrong even though it is a simple system that could be a big problem.

Not trying to preach, just think that things that make the car go are a lot safer to mess with than the things that make it stop until you feel like you can describe yourself as mechanically inclined.
