Confused about engine code checkup 900

My car (94 944 NA) threw me a check engine light last night on the way to a dinner. This morning I followed the steps on engine code retrieve in FAQ abut had some quite confusing results:
1. The FAQ says:
'o Place the cable into socket 2 (LH2.4/Regina/Motronic 1.8fuel injection test) or 6 (EZK116 or REX1 ignition test) as above'
I plug the cable into socket 2(of Box A), pressed the button for 2 secs, there was a code 1-1-1, I repeated several times and always got the same code.
Then the FAQ says:
'o Move the cable into socket 6 (for ignition codes from EZK116 or REX1) or socket 2 (for fuel injection codes from LH2.4/Regina) and repeat the above.'
My car has Bosch system and per the FAQ the cable was ALREADY in socket 2, is this a typo? Anyway I pulled the cable out of socket 2 and put it in socket 6, pressed the button for 2 seconds, the LED gave a code 2-4-1 directly. I thought it should show a 1-1-1 before giving the real faulty code? I repeated the step several times and it seemed to be the only code.
Then when I looked at the table I was even more confused. My car has a Bosch, for which code 2-4-1 is 'NA'. But I am really not sure about the 'LH 2.4'. Is that possible I have a 'Motronic 1.8' (hope this is not a too dumb question)?
