1990 740 Fails AirCare on NOx emissions 700 1990

Hi guys,

I couldn't find any older threads on this so I'll ask here. My precious 740 recently failed AirCare and I can't insure it again until I get it fixed. I know the "Licensed AirCare garages" will rape you on the repairs so I would like to try a few things myself first.

Any ideas? I failed on NOx emmissions. I know it could be the cat but I am going to look at that as a last resort since they cost a lot.
