Tranny swap on '84 240DL

I just removed my tranny and notice it is not the original. It says AW26 aisin 03-71 on the side, but I noticed brickboard says that my year volvo should be a 03-70. I'd like to replace the whole unit with a used one, but which one should I buy? I'd rebuild the old one with new seals, and gaskets, but I just have a feeling it's a waist of time, because it leaked like a sieve, and the old front seal looks great. Thank you all for your help!
