240 seat belts in a 140 140-160

the front seat belts in my 74' 145 were shot and i didn't have any 140 belts in better condition. so i put a set of seat belts out of a 83' 240 into my 145 today. the first round did not go so well. the front belts from the 240 have different lenght clips than the rear and 140 belts. i did not notice this until after i had had them instaled. i did not want to use the ugly buckle out of the 240 so i tock them out. took the inertia reals from the rear of the 240 and mounted them on the front brackets. the belts work great now. so i guess the moral of the story is always double check things and that rear 240 seat belts will work in a 140.
