What will happen if you change the type of motor oil from say..5w-30 to 10w-40?? 200

You'd know about it by now if there was a problem... In my opinion you can get away with just about any oil in a 240.

Change frequency is a more important determinant of extreme longevity.

Use whatever makes you feel good - I feel good when oil companies get as little of my attention and money as possible. The motors don't care near as much as the owners.
