antenna 900 1996

The antenna must be stuck down. Take off the nut on the top of the fender and see if you can lift up on the antenna using needle pliers (under the top chrome knob). If the antenna is bent, you are better off buying another mast and replacing the old one.

Last resort is to remove the antenna from the car. Gently clamp the body to a work bench, put a pair of pliers under the top knob, and using a hammer - tap the pliers until the antenna moves out of the housing. PB Blaster helps if soaked for a day.
