Start, then No Start 700 1989

Good Evening,

Had a no start, which was spark related. Narrowed the culprit to the ignition amplifier on the fender, near the battery. Replaced ignition amplifier and she started right up. Started a second and third time OK. The fourth time, the idle was surging and the car died.

I verified the turbo hoses were OK and all vacuum lines are OK. Attempted to start and no start. The car cranks but no start and I am stumped.

Any ideas??
