antenna 900 1996

If you can't fix it, just replace it. A new one costs about $25 or so from the usual Volvo sites. I personally got mine from www.ipdusa.com

Took me about 30 minutes to replace the one on my '93 945T, now that I've done it once its maybe a 10 minute job.

I keep wondering when I'm going to knock mine off again, I have so far been successful in always turning my radio to CD, which lowers the antenna on my wagon, prior to entering my garage at night. Also, when you do get it working again, start doing routine maintenance on it. The steps are in your owners manual, basically once every 10,000 miles or so, squirt it with WD-40 and wipe it down, then lower it and raise it 8 or 10 times or so, each time wiping it down with a clean cloth (or paper towel).
