960 MODE SELECTOR NOT WORKING 900 1996

Shortly after replacing the PNP switch and the microswitch in the gear selector, I noticed the mode selector wasn't lighting up. I'm not exactly sure when it stopped working, but I noticed it about a month after replacing the switches The economy or sport mode buttons stay down when pushed but the winter button will not stay down when I push it. When I replaced the microswitch I cut the wire and soldered it to the new switch. I didn't disconnect any other wires. Any ideas on why the mode selector stopped working? Is there any fuse or relay associated with this switch or is it possible I knocked a connection loose while I was working under the center console?

Thanks
