how good are 240 auto tranny's?? Should i buy? 200

okie, here's the scoop....i found another '86 240 wagon that i'm considering buying. the guy wants $600 for it....i may offer 5. but anyways. the body on it is really really straight except for some major hatch rustout which i may be able to do something about. my question is....since it has 199K....how would the tranny be after this many miles? both of the 240's i have now are manual shift and have lasted over 200K. The engine doesnt smoke or anything and it runs great, but i don't really want to buy this car if i have to have the tranny rebuilt after 200 miles or something.. so how dependable and long lasting are these automatics? Thanks for any responses!
