Make sure that you display all of the codes until it has flashed the first one a second time. If it is posting only one code then flash it out twice, wait a few seconds, hold the button down for 5 seconds and release, when the light comes back on press the button down for another five seconds and then release, wait a few seconds and then depress the button for 1 second and see if you get a 111 out of it. If for whatever reason it does not want to reset you can try disconnecting the battery and see if you can get it to clear that way.
