940 oil troubles - ouch 900

Bought a 944T a little over two months ago, forewarned about oil leaks. The Volvo dealership here and a reputable independent dealer both recommended the same gaskets to be fixed, and so I proceeded.

As is the case in life, there are sometimes surprises. Even with these gaskets fixed, the car still leaked. We had the underneath cleaned, a gasket redone. Took it home and still a leak. Brought it back - as you can imagine, things are starting to get expensive - and the guys finally found the culprit (or at least the next one). The problem was that, when sitting up on the hoist and idling, the car wouldn't leak. It was only when it went around the block with the turbo engaged that a leak would spring. By the end of the day, they had found it.

The mechanic took me under the car to show me where the previous owner had somehow glued/gunked/taped/caulked the hose that connects the oil filter with the engine block.

My question is, does anyone know how difficult it is to replace this piece of hose. Does the hose connect to the block by way of a gasket of some sort?

Also, I wanted to ask about oil pressure. Although it's a turbo and has no flame trap, is there a way that something has clogged the engine and is forcing oil out of gaskets due to pressure? Any remedies for a cleanse?

Many thanks in advance.
