B21 Timing Belt Broke - Is It a Non-Interference Engine? 200

Greetings everyone,

Thank-you very much for the info! Greatly appreciated as I was able to put my mind at ease that I didn't destroy my engine. The mildly *amusing* thing is that the day that it happened I was thinking... "when I pull my 245 or 544 out of winter storage I really should change the timing belt on my 240 since I don't know how many miles are on it." ;)

Picked up a new belt today and will have a mechanic friend help me with it tomorrow night. I'll be sure to check the other things (tensioner, seals, etc while it's apart.

Thanks again!

Jaak
