Bilstiens on the back of a 142 140-160

I got around this by pressing the sleeve out of my old shocks & using it to replace the sleeve on the new shocks (not Bilstiens, though, but same idea, I think it should work for you). A bit of a challenge to do without a press & plenty of silicone lube, but it was an easy fix that worked great for me without any other modifications on my 74 142.
