No start on 1990 16v 700

My 740 16v started running a little rough the other day. I cleaned the throttle body, and squirted some carb cleaner into the IAC hose and it seemed to clean things up.

The next day, it started but again began to run rough. The gas gauge was low, and it was sitting on a slight incline so I thought it might be starved for gas.

I put a few gallons in via can and could not get it to restart.

After wearing out the battery, and recharging it, I cannot get the car to even sound like it wants to start. Not a pop.

I've checked and am getting spark at all cylinders, pulled and cleaned off the Crank sensor, pulled the AMM, no change. I've swapped for the radio supppresion relay, I can hear the fuel pump, and smell gas, but I'm not sure what kind of pressure I'm getting.

I also pulled the timing cover, and the crank lines up with "0", and the two cams line up with marks on inside of the cover.

What am I missing. Anybody with any suggestions?
jc

(I'm almost tempted to tow it to a "real" mechanic, God forbid.)
