s90 vs 960 suspension ride S90-V90

Hello,

I have read that Volvo softened the suspension on the S90 from that of the 960 in 97/98 time frame.

I am curious to know if anyone has knowledge of this, or has anyone ridden in both the 960's and the s90's with the changed suspension. Can you give your impressions of the ride? What exactly was changed?

I enjoy the ride/handling of my 96 960, but at times it is rough over certain roads and bumps (seems to not have alot of suspension travel) and forces the car to ride 'on top of the road' instead of the usual suspension travel with one rebound type ride. Although when in the mountains of NC I prefer this tighter handling quality.

Thanks
