Dashboard lights 200 1986

I have an '86 240 sedan. Occasionally when driving, the dash lights dim a little bit and the green directional and blue high beam signals light up a little bit. Sometimes if I smack the top of the dash, they will go back to normal. But in a few minutes, they can do it all over again. I'm thinking it might be a bad ground somewhere, but I don't know where. Any suggestions? Thanks.
