Need an answer fast - do I have a bad head gasket - OR ??? 700 1989

Just bought a 89 760t from a friend with 110K. They had bought it from a lot for thier daughter - she did not want it.

Oil sticker says that it was changed 8/10/04 @ 109K. I bought the car yesterday - it now has 110K. I pull the oil stick today and I see - milky oil at the bottom of the stick. (Stupid me - I did not even look when I picked up the car. It looked so good and ran so good - I let it slip)

Anyway - first impression is a blown headgasket - letting water into the oil. I clean the stick off - take it up the road - and when I check it again - it is just black - no real sign of water that I can see.

Could the fact that the car had not been driven much since 8/10/04 contribute to this. I thought of condensation in the sump doing this. Please help me to figure this out. I may be able to back out of it. Don't know yet - but I do not want to ruin a friendship, either.

Thanks
