Check Engine Code 2-3-1 on a 1994 940

Well I'm getting myb first experience with Volvo Check Engine Lights. My daughter just baught a used 940 waggon with 90K miles and gor about 200 miles down the road and the light came on. My code list says Heated Oxygen Sensor. Is the usual fix for this to replace the sensor? Any wisdom from the experienced would be helpful. Thanks Cap'Dan
