Fuel pressure regulator did the trick, take 2. 700 1989

We had complaints of hard starting, hot or cold, in junior's 740 GLE. I posted the symptoms and got a few notes back to check the fuel pressure regulator. I was at the boneyard scrounging parts for the plow truck and spotted a "fresh" 740. Popped the hood and jackpot!- a shiny FPR! We grabbed that, a washer pump, and a hubcap all for $30.00. Best part is she starts like a champ hot or cold.
This thing is a breeze to work on (so far, with fingers crossed making the sign of the cross).
Thanks to those who responded.
Dave
