Alt problems. 200 1985

Detailer, thanks for all the info. I had considered doing a one-belt setup like your car's PO, but never got stuff to line up properly...didn't care about the AC either, but I'd like to get my PS back, been driving for a year with "armstrong" steering.
The stamped sheave crank pulley is torn up where the outer belt goes to drive the AC. I'd rather not replace it,I think there's a stud broken off in there.
What I'm thinking of doing lately is trying to high-mount the alternator on the driver's side, where the AC mounts now, then run a second belt to drive the PS and that's it. Haven't worked out ANY of the details yet.
