No Idiot Lights causing the 83 240 not to start 200 1983

OK This has been going on long enough for me. I have a spark and replaced the fuel pump. The one I took out did not work when I tested it to the battery. The replacement did. The car statrted once. After that time- no idiot lights and no starting. Yes, there is a spark. The starter does crank. I have cleaned the fuse box and check many wires and conections but I can not get the idiot lights to come on or have the car start. Ignigtion? Any leads or suggestions? Thanks
