smoke and oil leak?! WHY IS IT LEAKING OIL 700

I recently replaced the front crankshaft seal, valve-cover gasket. I'm looking intensly for an oil leak. After much pressure washing and scrubbing, I see that the oil is coming out of the OIL CAP! AH! Smoke comes out of the dip-stick when I pull it when the engine is running. I poured alcohol through the breather-box and it seemed to drain fairly freely. What the heck is it?
