Programming a Remote S90-V90 1998

Group:
Finally got the new remote to work! New batteries.
However the car now does recognize the original one!
Programmed the original again and it does not recognize the new one.
In other words both remotes work, but the car recognizes only one of them at a time.
A '98 S70 comes with two remotes, so I expect that the S90 will also.
Is in in the design that the car cannot accept two remotes?
A high-end car like this?
Dealer wants $55 to program it!
