15w40ok? 200 1982

I'm going up to atlanta for spring break. Since I'm gonna change the motor and tranny mounts, I might as well change the oil. Now I live in Florida where it's like 75-80 during the day 50-60 at night, but up in Atlanta the temp has been dropping down to the mid 30's. Since most of the driving will be at 70mph/3k RPM or so, is going with the castrol 15w40 (engineered for big rig diesel's) OK or what? I think it's too early for 20w50 plus most of my driving spring break or not, is the usual half hour commute to work and school.
