Surge shows up on turbo guage - seems to bog 700

In the AM I am taking the new 760 into my mechanic. One thing he will be looking at is ...while driving on relatively level road at about 65-70 - turbo guage is about 1/4 up. Randomly it will go to 3/4 - over in the right half - but the road has not really changed - nor the pressure on the gas petal. When it moves over to the 3/4 position, it almost seems that it is bogging - almost like losing power - like needing fuel/air.

Along with this behavior at times the car will die when coming to a stop (not all the time). Today it died and would not start for a good long while - turning over just fine. Finally it caught and ran. Sometimes the idle is perfect at 750. Other rimes it flutuates between 700-750 - sorta loping - not a miss.

Any ideas as I prepare to go to the shop.

Thanks
