That's Beam Width Control... 700 1991

Sorry, all I can find on my '93 940 diagrams is item 3/59 (beam width control), an illuminated, knobbed-controlled device on the dash, apparently next to the light switch. Looks like it controls some lind of motorized "actuator" (6/38 and 6/39) at the headlights or foglights(?).

This BWC has an indicator bulb that is powered by a white wire from fuse 21 (as are several other switch indicators) and grounded (no "pulses") by a blue wire, also common to the bulbs fed by the white wire.

That's what the green book diagram shows for the 940. I would have expected your '91 740 to be similar. Guess I struck out.
