Valve Clearance 120-130

I am about to adjust the valves on my 65 122 b18 for the first time. While looking up the clearance specs I noticed a discrepancy. On my Haynes Manual it lists .016 - .018 warm and .020 - .022 cold. But my official Volvo Service Manual (actually for a Pv544 but still the same b18 engine) says .016 - .018 for both warm and cold engine. What is the best clearance to use?
I prefer to do it on a cold engine, because I have a theory that all cold engines are pretty much the same temperature, but a warm engine's temperature can vary with how long it takes to finish the job. (I work kind of slow, so the last valve I adjust might be adjusted different that the first one because of the cooling off of the engine). Any suggestions?
