Heater blasting way too hot! 200

Just thought of another question to ask the volvo gurus. The heat in my car is unbearably hot (I know the problem is usually opposite). I just barely push the lever to the right to turn on the heat and don't even have to turn on the fan. At the lowest (Cool) heat setting, I get super hot air. Is this normal? My other (mid 80's) bricks I had in the past never had this problem , and the heat settings on the lever were pretty close to true. Anything I can do?
